Winners of the International Children's Unity Competition «Na Odnii Khvyli»

On the Europe Day on May 16th, 2020 within the framework of the International Decade for the Rapprochement of Cultures (2013-2022) under the resolution of the United Nations in the specialized libraries for children in Ukraine and in the neighboring countries and the EU – the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Moldova and Romania started the International Solidarity Contest «Na Odnii Khvyli», organized by the National Library of Ukraine for Children with the National Section of the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY), NGO «Ukrainian Association of the Workers of the Specialized Libraries for Children», National Union of Ukrainian Artists and «Charity Foundation «From Heart to Heart» supported by ombudsman.

The aim of the Contest is to develop communicative skills of children and teenagers, to gain the system of the national and common to mankind cultural values; to bring up tolerant attitude to other nationalities, cultures and traditions; to bring up high citizen consciousness; to foster national and patriotic development, identification with the state, its history and culture.

Totally 1551 people from Ukrainian libraries and libraries for children of neighboring countries and the EU took part in the Contest. There are 1271 participants from Ukraine, 185 from the Republic of Kazakhstan, 52 from the Republic of Moldova and 43 from Romania.

For the III (final) round of the competition were selected 199 works, 187 of them were made individually and 12 were made in groups.

As the result the Jury determined the winners of the Contest.
